Electroniclaim Software FAQ's

Are you looking for ways to increase revenue?

You can speed up your cash flow by filing medical claims electronically using ElectroniClaim - a fully integrated Practice Management System. ElectroniClaim is one of the most powerful Practice Management Systems available today! Payment can be received within as little as 14 days if filed electronically. ElectroniClaim does it and we would like to show you how.

The two most asked questions about ElectroniClaim are:

Why should we change over now when we've always used paper medical claims?

Recent changes in Medicare regulations have made claim filing by doctors mandatory. As a result, an avalanche of paper claims has buried Medicare. This prompted an agency imposed minimum delay of 28 days for payment of paper claims, while electronic medical claims must be processed within 14 days. Electronic medical insurance claims means a faster cash flow!

If a clearing house package seems cheaper, why should we buy ElectroniClaim?

In the long run, ElectroniClaim is less expensive than any electronic medical insurance claim package which uses a clearing house.

A clearing house is an organization which receives medical insurance claims in an electronic format and then parcels them out to the intended recipients. The clearing house may or may not be able to send medical claims electronically to these recipients; i.e. insurance companies.

In the event that you are billing a small insurance company or other payer that does not have electronic capabilities, the clearing house will print and mail a HCFA 1500, thereby losing any advantage you might have on filing that claim electronically. For this service the clearing house charges between $.50 and $1 per claim.

For example: Say a doctor sees 4 patients in an hour for 6 hours a day, five days a week or 120 claims per week, all going through a clearing house at $.50 per claim. This results in an annualized basis of an additional expense of $260 per month or $3120 per year. At the end of one year their $1300 package has magically cost its buyer $4420. At the end of the second year, it has a cost of $7540 and so on. This is assuming that all of the claims are accepted during the first submission. ElectroniClaim eliminates this added expense.
