How to Use the Electroniclaim Patient Accounting Software

Introduction

This chapter is to help you install and use the Electroniclaim Patient Accounting program. First of all, you have to have a computer with Windows 95/98/NT.

Installation of Electroniclaim Patient Accounting

For Windows 95/98/NT, use the following guidelines:

    1. Slide in the software in your CD-ROM drive.
    2. Go to "Start", then "Run."
    3. Type in "X:\Install" (X represents the CD-ROM drive letter) and then hit "Enter."
    4. Click on the button "Next."
    5. The default folder for Electroniclaim Patient Accounting is C:\Mediwin.
    6. Follow the directions on the screen from then on.

Registration of the Software

Registration of the software allows Electroniclaim to know how many customers and who they are. It also prevents fraud (i.e., people making copies of the software and selling it, etc.) In order to register for the software, on the Menu bar, choose the "Help Menu," and then "Register Now." After doing so, an information table will pull up and you will have to fill out the details as much as you can.

At "Practice Name," you will have to type in your name or name of your business. Electroniclaim will give the "Customer Number" to you. In order to obtain it; please call their Technical Support at 262-240-9700. The "Serial Number" is an eight-digit number printed on a piece of paper, which says "Certificate of Authenticity." That document is always included in your package and shows proof of purchase. So, please, do not lose it! When you come to "Dealer Name", type in "Electroniclaim." As for the "Electroniclaim Dealer Number," type in "CHAR8900."

To send your registration to Electroniclaim, you have two options: mail or fax. If by mail, you need to print out the software registration and mail it to Electroniclaim, P.O. Box 100, Thiensville, WI 53092-0100. To fax in the registration, Electroniclaim’s number is 262-240-1135.

After receiving your registration form, Electroniclaim will send you a Registration Number, which then needs to be typed in the "Software Registration." However, if you register by modem, the Registration Number will be placed into the "Software Registration" by itself.
