How does HIPAAMagic work? |

HIPAAMagic is installed on the same computer currently used to generate claim files. Input to the translator consists of the electronic claim files in National Standard Format (NSF) Version 1.4, 2.0 and 3.01. It converts them to ANSI 4010 X12 HIPAA compliant 837 transaction set files. The translator has the added ability to perform ANSI claim file validation for compliance with HIPAA implementation guides - either concurrently with translation or independent of translation.
